The Street Patch on the 1400 Block of Warner Ave.

Yes, we know it's bumpy.

LOID is good at lots of things.  However, we admit we aren't the best at long runs of pavement patches.  The patch on the 1400 block of Warner Avenue is temporary and is scheduled for repair.

The District replaced the small domestic and irrigation water service lines with larger service lines to improve the volume and pressure issues in the area.  Usually, the District would have left gravel in the patch until it could be contracted for paving but with the on-going construction and large equipment for the new Catholic Church the District decided to put in a cold mix pavement patch.  The patch will stay in place, prevent traffic dust, decrease the mess of gravel, and maybe save a windshield or two.  We ask patrons to please bare with us, this patch is on our list for replacement.  In our attempts to save District patrons money we contract several patches to be repaved at once rather than several smaller and more expensive jobs.

The road will be bumpy for a little longer and in the mean time, if you need to check your shocks, you might consider taking a drive.
