LOID crews will commence work at midnight on Mon. July 16, 2012 to finish repairs to a damaged drinking water pipeline at the intersection of Grelle Avenue and 19th Street. Patrons in that area may experience a water outage during the late night hours. Once repairs are complete, the main will be flushed. Flushing may result in some discoloration or cloudiness and the presence of sediment in your water. These conditions are not harmful and should be of short duration. You can clear the discoloration by running your cold water tap for a few minutes until the water clears. Avoid washing clothes during this period. Cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.
